LOONY is a community-driven crypto project that uses intelligent satire to fight disinformation and challenge political absurdity. The project aims to amplify witty, progressive voices through uncensorable, Web3-based content.
The guiding principle is "Satire, Not Slander". The project is committed to "punching up, not down," using wit and humor to challenge power and amplify progressive voices.
The core utility is to be the financial instrument that funds and monetizes the flow of digital attention directed at political absurdity.
Content is financed by the liquid LOONY token and a dedicated community treasury (DAO). There is 2% transaction fee on every trade which automatically funds the DAO Community Treasury. Creators receive funds directly from the DAO, bypassing the traditional Web2 model of centralized advertising revenue, which favors slow, censored content.
We are flipping the Web2 Ad Script. A portion of the Web2 advertising revenue generated by the project's viral content on social media platforms will be used to buy LOONY from the open market and burn it forever. This creates guaranteed buy pressure and reduces the total token supply.
